Cannot thank you enough for the meticulous and detailed planning of our trip. We loved all the hotels - excellent locations. Kenan, our guide for walking tour of old city Istanbul and Oscar for Pamakkule were exceptionally good. Good sense of humor and very knowledgeable. The emergency contacts were also very responsive to all of our messages. We were all set to skip lunch yesterday, our half day in Cappadoccia as it was more important to catch our flight. Imagine our surprise to find a lunch box packed for each of us! Very impressive. Is there a website where we could post a review? Will definitely refer others to use you if they are traveling in these countries. Thank you again. DoreenRead More
This is the second year I have used Turkey Travel Centre to plan my trip to Greece and Turkey. And as the previous year the whole process of travelling about with always some one waiting my arrival with my name and then being met to move onto the next destination has been orchestrated by Michael and his team....every last detail from ferry tickets, excursions, hotel room type and inclusion to pick ups and drop offs all done.
The accommodation has been perfect and the additional excursions have been fantastic! Nothing is any difficulty for TTC and if I needed them it was merely a phone call, not that it arose.
I was delighted to finish my walking tour today and be met by part of the team who seem to have become my good friends here in Turkey to enjoy lunch and lively conversation.
Thank you to Michael, Ihsan and Mimet for a wonderful day and ensuring once again my holiday was everything I hoped for and more!
Well you excelled yourselves with the organisation of our recent trip.
Everything was absolutely fantastic and the Greece component of our trip was the highlight for everyone.
The quality of the Greek section on the tour was accentuated by the comparison with the Italian part, where the conclusion was "Italy gives 3-star service for 5-star prices"!! We were very sad that we've not booked our Italy trip with you!
Our guide Marissa was exceptional in her knowledge, lots of fun and her “blah, blah” (her words) was incredibly informative. There was nothing she did not know. She was a very competent and caring guide, especially when many of our group were recovering from flu-like symptoms. She organised a doctor to come to the hotel at Olympia, and followed up by obtaining medication where needed.
Our bus driver, Joseph, was a very competent driver, extremely helpful, very positive and really enhanced our positive experience in Greece.
The last few days in Mykonos and Santorini were a perfect conclusion to our trip, and both travel companies are to be commended for their guides, accommodation and service.
So Michael, thank you (and your company) again for your exceptional service, your prompt, courteous replies and especially your patience with my mess-up with the payment!
I will certainly continue to recommend your company to anyone I know who plan to visit Turkey. Of course, if we end up taking another group, we will make contact with you.
Good Morning Michael,
Firstly let me thank you so much for planning our amazing trip !!
Every thing went so well, we had a truly amazing time. From the minute we arrived your contacts looked after us so very well, on every occasion there was a welcoming face waiting for us at the airports, the cars were always clean and of the best quality.
The staff assisted us with maps, ideas of were to dine, what to see, and info related to our booked tours.
All the tours- were so worth while doing, they were very well organised the guides were all SO NICE, very well educated and knowledgeable of not only what we were visiting , but of the country, people. history. I could not have asked for a nicer
group of people to have spent our days with.
The lunches that our guides took us to were of such a good quality, and at really nice places, I was very pleasantly surprised.
All of our hotels were superb, The Petite Palace In Santorini was perfect as a boutique hotel for a couple. Mykonos was also
well suited to us. In Turkey we loved Canakkale and Kusadasi, such great spots to visit, and again hotels selected were wonderful, cant give you enough praise for these hotels.

Thank you for making our recent trip a great experience. We could not fault any aspect of your planning.
We really appreciate all your efforts to make sure it ran so smoothly. It was good to catch up with your colleague in Cappadocia.
We enjoyed our experience especially with the balloon and bath.
We know several people who are contemplating going to Turkey and we will be certainly recommending you to them. Thanks
From your end pulling all this
together at such short notice was absolutely wonderful and I cannot sing
your phrases loudly enough.
We stayed at the MDC hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey for 2 nights. Being a new hotel the facilities were impeccable, as was the hospitality and service provided by each and everyone of their staff. The manager Mustafa was friendly and attentive and more than happy to assist in any way possible to make our stay easy and relaxing. The rooms itself were beautifully furnished and comfortable incorporating the old style caves and modern day luxuries complementing each other perfectly. Our driver Numan Senol was fantastic. He was extremely warm hearted and friendly, he was more than happy to share his knowledge answering our questions and filled in gaps and provided a locals perspective that is often missed in group tours. He made the travels around the area easy and it was a pleasure to be in his company.
I cannot recommend both the MDC hotel highly enough.
I also sent the following message whilst we were travelling though to Enver when the hotel accommodation in the closing stages of the travel through Turkey was less than acceptable:
Enver, we have just touched down in Rhodes and wish to thank you very much for your assistance last night. Your efficiency and kindness in locating more suitable alternate accommodation at such short notice was much appreciated. Your attentiveness in following up with our progress between hotels, ensuring we were not inconvenienced or out of pocket in transportation and the kind gift you provided us went above and beyond your call of duty. We sincerely thank you for everything you've done to ensure our holiday continues to surpass expectations and be easy and stress free. We will not hesitate to recommend Turkey Travel to family and friends thanks to the amazing staff, such as yourself, who have made our trip to Turkey unforgettable.
Again Liz, you've been fantastic and I have spoken to a few people who are thinking of travelling in Europe to get in contact with.
Travel Information and Guide to Greece
Greece has always been and will be one of the most popular destinations for tourism. It is not hard to see why. The country and surrounding islands, have a colourful historical timeline filled with stories of the ancient gods, and philosophers like Aristotle. It also has superb coastlines filled with beautiful beaches and swimming spots. Throw in the welcoming and interesting cultural aspects like food and cuisine and everything combines to form a holiday hotspot where people truly can enjoy themselves.
Such is the demand for tourism, every type of hotel accommodation is available from the budget hostels for backpackers to 5 star plus spa centres for honeymooning couples. If you book one of our tours, we arrange accommodation for you.
When to Go
From July to August, soaring temperatures are guaranteed. While this is ideal for sunbathers, anyone who wants to explore cultural or historical sites should confine their walks to morning or evening and avoid the peak of temperatures from 12 noon to 3pm.
Aside from these months, January to June and September to November are ideal, although evening temperatures require a light cardigan or jacket. December to March is the coldest months but destinations like Athens are still popular for all year round city breaks.
Currency and Spending
Greece used to be a cheap country until the introduction of the Euro. It is still possible to travel on a budget but travellers should look out for the small establishments serving cheap food and avoid centres where prices of drinks etc are more expensive. An average budget per day is 90 euros including accommodation, food and transport. This can increase with fees to museums and historical sites. Our Greece tours range from budget to luxury and you can see the full range here.
Where to Go
There is huge amount of potential destinations, depending on what you look for in a travel experience. The diversity of regions will ensure that everyone is accommodated for. Many of our tours visit more than one destination so you can see the best of what Greece has to offer, all in one trip. You can see the tours here but the main five highlights of Greece are…
The capital and largest city in Greece, is home to some of the world’s most prolific ancient sites which is not a surprise considering that throughout history, it has always been a centre of learning, art and philosophy. Sites to see include including Acropolis, ancient agora, the 19th century neighbourhood of Anafiotika, the unknown soldiers tomb and Hadrian’s arch
This is a destination that has something for everyone because Thessaloniki has an abundance of Byzantine historical sites, museums, cultural activities, sports and art festivals. Hotels and restaurants are in abundance and the diversity means you are sure to find what you seek.
This island is well-known for white sugar cube houses covered with pink bougainvillea, and the emphasis while here is to relax and admire the beauty. Sunsets are adorable and the urban landscape provides many picture postcards scenes. Also try the local wine and cuisine.
This Greek island is famous for its beaches and nightlife. Landmarks to visit include the windmills; the Municipal library based in an 18th century mansion and Petros the pelican that is the mascot for the island.
One of the most famous and top visited Greek islands, Rhodes includes the historical old part of the town within the old city walls. It is also well known for its shopping opportunities and local taverns serving delicious Greek cuisine.
